Shutter Installation at the SPAB

In July 2009 we contacted The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings to discuss the Conservation Shutter we had been developing. As the Shutter system reduces heat loss in old windows and is installed with minimal impact to the original fabric of the building The S.P.A.B. where impressed with the idea.

Having spoken to the local Conservation Officer to determine whether Listed Building Consent would be required, the S.P.A.B. where told they could proceed without Listed Building Consent. The Conservation Officer thought that the proposal related to a minor change to a Listed Building and would not affect the buildings character or special architectural and historical interest.

After further talks and meetings The S.P.A.B. commissioned a shutter for the Head Office in Spital Square.

On 10th December 2009 The Conservation Shutter Company where proud to install a Conservation Shutter into 37 Spital Square.
